Community Performances

Summerfest musicians perform throughout the year for audiences at libraries, schools, and senior centers. Recent and upcoming performances include the following:

Instrument demonstration and concert. World Premiere by Ian Coleman. Composer will be present and involved in presentation. Call in advance for reservations: 816-510-0978. Seating for guests is very limited.

"Informance" for families featuring composer Ian Coleman, who will discuss his piece "5-4-3". Six Summerfest musicians will present this work and show their instruments to the audience. Instruments featured are: Violin, Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Cello, and String Bass.

Summerfest presents another "Informance" at the Kansas City Public Library (branch TBD) previewing music from the first Summerfest concert of the season: Luciano Berio's "Folk Songs" featuring grammy-nominated soprano Tony Arnold.
